Guarding Chains & Belts
Redco™ UHMW Channels (U-Channel) reduce chain and belt wear by lowering friction. Unlike the traditional metal-to-metal contact, UHMW’s low coefficient of friction and self-lubricating properties allows the metal chain to glide along the plastic channel with extremely reduced abrasion. Replacing steel channels with plastic channels also reduces power consumption, saving premature replacement costs for both the chain and the equipment.
Standard UHMW Channels are available in yellow (orange in some locations). Along with wear beds and wear strips, several high-performance grades of UHMW plastic are available, including Titanium (longer wearing) and Synsteel (pulp-safe). Additionally, plug welding, standard fastening hardware, and tools are also available. Please inquire.
