Visitor Policy

Welcome to Redwood Plastics & Rubber!

Here at Redwood Plastics & Rubber, we are committed to making your visit as safe, welcoming, and productive as possible. Whether you’re here for a short visit or an extended stay, customer satisfaction and safety is our top priority for every visitor. Our teams are dedicated to upholding our mission of building and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and suppliers through respectful and ethical interactions.

Prior to your visit to Redwood Plastics & Rubber, please familiarize yourself with our visitor policy below. By following our policies, you’re helping us maintain a comfortable and enjoyable environment for everyone. This policy applies to all visitors at each of Redwood Plastics and Rubber’s locations in Canada and the United States.

Arrival, Parking, & Check-In

Visitors are encouraged to use designated Visitor Parking spots. If full, regular employee parking spots can be used.

Visitors must check-in with reception and sign the visitor log book. For site security and emergency evacuation accuracy, visitors must sign-out with reception when leaving the premises.

All Visitors must have a scheduled appointment and arrive to meet their Redwood host at the time of check-in.
Visitors must wear a Visitor Badge at all times.

PPE Requirements

To protect your health and safety while on-site, visitors must wear appropriate PPE:

Class 1 high-visibility vest – Required in shop and loading areas
CSA-approved safety glasses – Required in all manufacturing zones
Respirator – Required in urethane processing zones
Steel-toe footwear – Mandatory for shop floor access
PPE will be provided if visitors do not have compliant equipment.

Escort & Access Guidelines

Visitors must be escorted by a Redwood employee at all times.
Remain in designated safe walkways (clearly marked with yellow lines).
Do not enter restricted or hazardous zones (e.g., machinery areas, chemical storage).
Pay attention to signs and labels indicating hazards, emergency exits, or PPE zones.
Your Redwood host will identify any location-specific hazards (e.g., moving equipment, hot surfaces, and airborne particulates) and explain controls during your visit.

Emergency Procedures

A Redwood Representative will lead all visitors to the muster point.

Emergencies may be signaled by alarm, paging system, or direct instruction.

Emergency Coordinators will verify headcount using the Visitor Logbook.

Visitors must not leave the premises until cleared by Emergency Personnel.

Your Redwood host will identify any location-specific hazards (e.g., moving equipment, hot surfaces, and airborne particulates) and explain controls during your visit.

Incident & Hazard Reporting

Immediately report any injury, near miss, unsafe condition, property damage, or business disruption.
Notify your Redwood host so that an incident report can be completed within 24 hours

Photography Policy

Photography and video recording is prohibited inside Redwood facilities. Image use questions should be directed to HR.
If documentation is required, a Redwood employee will take the photos and provide copies if approved.

Internet & Systems Access

Visitors requiring internet access may request the Visitor Wi-Fi password from their Redwood host. Use of the network implies acceptance of Redwood’s Network & Systems Usage Policy.

Contractor & Multi-Day Visitor Responsibilities

Sign in and sign out each day on-site.
Follow the Contractor Safety Policy and maintain safe housekeeping standards.
Ensure any equipment brought on-site is inspected and in safe operating condition.
Coordinate with Redwood’s safety representative as required by OHSR 20.2–20.3 (Prime Contractor rules)

Workplace Conduct & Respect

Redwood employees treat all visitors—customers, vendors, and partners—with respect and courtesy. Visitors are expected to behave professionally, avoid horseplay, rough-housing, or other disruptive behaviour, and always follow instructions from their designated Redwood escort.

Visitor Agreement & Safety Conduct

By signing this form, I acknowledge that I understand and will comply with the following:

  • Wearing all required PPE while on-site.
  • Remaining in designated areas and following all safety instructions.
  • Understanding you may be exposed to industrial hazards and agree to follow hazard controls as directed.
  • Reporting any injuries, unsafe acts, or near misses to my Redwood host.
  • Ensuring equipment you bring on-site will be in safe working condition and used only as permitted.
  • Signing in when arriving and signing out when leaving the premises.
