We are thrilled to announce that Redwood Plastics & Rubber are the recipients of the International Association of Plastic Distributers’ (IAPD) Environmental Excellence Award and Education Circle of Champions Award. This announcement was made at the Opening General Session of the 68th IAPD Annual Convention + connecX in Louisville, Kentucky on October 10, 2024.


The IAPD Environmental Excellence Award recognizes IAPD members who have proactively introduced innovative or exemplary sustainability practices within their operations that respect the natural environment. Redwood Plastics & Rubber has been awarded the Gold Award for its continued work with its Recycling Initiative, a project that has resulted in over 200,000 lbs of UHMW, urethane and nylon scraps being recycled across Redwood’s 5 branches. Redwood Plastics & Rubber is thrilled to have achieved the Gold Award, and reiterates its continued commitment to continuing our Recycling Initiative and finding new opportunities to make our workplaces more sustainable. Special thanks to Daisy Mahmoudi, Matt Wood, Edrick Dudang, Matt Driver,­ and Martin Stuetz for their contributions to the Recycling Initiative project.


The Education Circle of Champions Award is awarded to IAPD members who have encouraged continuing plastics education in their organization by utilizing IAPD’s training and educational resources and creating exemplary educational programs and curriculums. For the second consecutive year, Redwood Plastics & Rubber has been awarded the Gold Award for its efforts in providing training and educational resources regarding our products, materials, and target markets. Redwood Plastics & Rubber pledges to continue investing considerable resources into training and educational programs to further enhance our team’s wide range of skillsets.
