REDCO ACETAL
Plastic Backing Block For Cheese Harp.
Within this application both Redco UHMW and Redco Acetal have been used. The backing block is used to push a block of cheese through a cutting harp to make ½" square cheese sticks to be vacuum sealed along side pepperoni sticks. The original material use to push the cheese thought the harp was warping and other materials such as Delrin were tested but breakage due to dropping was too costly. The solution was Redco Acetal which gave the perfect balance of a strong material to resist warping but flexible enough to avoid the small squares from breaking off if the piece is dropped.
